DESIGN
We want to create something lasting. Good design is really more about people than product. Before we can design something unique for you, we will listen to your needs and desires, to ensure that your home reflects the way you want to live. Through our in-house Library, and our associations with numerous Heritage and Museum groups, we offer centuries of the best designs, reinterpreted to suit your individual tastes.
Our designs comprise furnishings, kitchens, stonework, floating and cribbed boathouses, cottages, lighting, ironwork, hardware….all of it can be designed and created to fit your room and personal taste.
The Process:
We invite you to a complimentary meeting to discuss your ideas. Beforehand, we encourage you to collect magazine clippings, samples, or other information that may be helpful to our discussion in establishing a basis for design. To better assist you, we will ask about your Lifestyle preferences in order to ensure a tailor-made design. Based upon these ideas and discussion, we can then give you an estimate of budget and costs. After you have approved a budget and concept, we then move forward with drafting a Plan and Conceptual sketches. A retainer is required at this stage. Our Design fee is $95 per hour.
We will meet as often as required to review the Plan. From these concepts, further ideas will flow naturally. Refinements may be made and established as part of the General Plan, and as the design evolves to suit your personal taste. Once your Plan is finalised, manufacturing and construction can commence.
